Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has extended congratulatory message to participants of Saturday’s NDC parliamentary primaries in selected constituencies across the country.

He urged those who won to remember they can secure victory in 2020 by rallying the losing opponents and their supporters on board their respective campaigns.

He urged the winners to work to win the confidence and trust of their various constituents and opponents during the primaries.

The NDC, he said, has only one adversary, which is the New Patriotic Party (NPP) hence the need to focus energies on the efforts to get Ghanaians to elect the NDC and to replace the confused and clueless President Akufo-Addo and his government.

Below is the message of Mr. Ofosu Ampofo;

CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE TO THE NDC ON CONCLUSION OF PARLIAMENTARY PRIMARIES ON 24th AUGUST, 2019

I wholeheartedly congratulate all members of the National Democratic Congress who participated in today’s parliamentary primaries in selected constituencies across the country.

In particular, I unreservedly wish all who won their contests the best of luck in next year’s general elections.

The victors must remember that they can secure a resounding victory in 2020 only if they do everything in their power to bring the losers and their supporters on board their respective campaigns so that together, they would win the confidence and trust of their various constituents.

It is my wish and expectation that just as the losing aspirants in the presidential primaries threw their weight behind President John Mahama and offered their support and commitment towards the campaign in the 2020 general elections, the not-so-lucky aspirants in the parliamentary primaries will also display their loyalty and commitment in a similar manner.

For we have only one adversary, the NPP, and we need to focus all our energies on the effort to get the people of Ghana to elect us to replace the confused and clueless President Akufo-Addo and his government.

I know we can do it. Let us do it.

LONG LIVE THE NDC LONG LIVE GHANA!

Signed

Hon SAMUEL OFOSU-AMPOFO

National Chairman
