The NDC Rasta Caucus has rallied behind President John Dramani Mahama, expressing their trust in his ability to deliver on the promises made during his campaigns.

Speaking in an interview with Happyghana.com’s Nana Antwi Boasiako during President Mahama’s inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, January 7, at the Black Star Square in Accra, the National Chairman of the NDC Rasta Caucus, Ras Moore, highlighted the reasons for their support.

He emphasized the President’s 24-hour economy policy and youth entrepreneurship initiatives as key factors that have inspired confidence among Rastafarians in Ghana.

Ras Moore explained that many young people, particularly those in ghettos, need skills and opportunities to sustain themselves. He believes President Mahama’s policies will have a significant impact on these communities, who are also part of the Rasta movement.

He also addressed misconceptions about Rastafarians, noting that many view them as negative influences in society. Ras Moore countered this perception, describing Rastafarians as peace-loving and development-focused individuals. He expressed confidence that the NDC and President Mahama are aligned with their values and aspirations.

Ras Moore urged all Rastafarians in Ghana to unite and support President Mahama, highlighting his numerous initiatives aimed at empowering the youth.
