The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended all party communications unrelated to the tragic helicopter crash that claimed eight lives on August 6, including five senior officials of the party and government.
In a directive issued by Godwin Ako Gunn, Deputy Communication Officer, all NDC communicators have been instructed to focus solely on tributes and mourning activities until further notice.
“All communications must be centred on the demise of our comrades. All other subjects can wait,” the statement read.
The move aligns with the government’s declaration of a three-day national mourning period from Thursday, August 7 to Saturday, August 9, which includes public ceremonies such as candlelight vigils and an evening of reflection at the State House.
