The Network of Women in Broadcasting (NOWIB) Ghana is proud to announce an exclusive online workshop titled “Building Your Broadcasting Brand” scheduled for May 17th, 2025, at 5:00 PM. This Mother’s Day season special event aims to empower women in the broadcasting industry with essential personal branding and digital presence skills.

The virtual workshop will feature two distinguished facilitators:

Emma Wenani, Chief Director at Global Media Alliance Group, brings over 16 years of experience in communications, public relations, digital marketing, and project management. Named among the Top 10 Women in PR Ghana for two consecutive years (2023 and 2024), Ms. Wenani will share her expertise on strategic personal branding specifically tailored for broadcasting professionals.

Odamea Amoako, a digital transformation professional and Head of Operations at the Heritage and Cultural Society of Africa (HACSA) Foundation, will lead sessions on “LinkedIn for Broadcasters: Building Your Professional Digital Presence.” Recently celebrated as one of Ghana’s Female Tech Trailblazers on International Girls in ICT Day 2025, Ms. Amoako has personally trained over 2,000 women across Africa in digital communication and online branding.

“As broadcasters, we excel at telling everyone’s story but often neglect our own professional narratives,” said: Linda Biamah Obeng (Maame Biamah Akwafo), President of NOWIB Ghana. “This workshop addresses a critical gap in our industry where women broadcasters need to strategically position themselves in an increasingly competitive and digital media landscape. With the combined expertise of Emma Wenani and Odamea Amoako, our members will gain invaluable insights on crafting compelling personal brands and leveraging digital platforms to advance their careers. We’re particularly excited about the LinkedIn component, as we’ve identified this as a powerful yet underutilized tool among our membership.”

The workshop is designed specifically for women in broadcasting, addressing unique challenges and opportunities in the media industry. Participants will learn to:
– Showcase their achievements effectively
– Define their unique professional value proposition
– Position themselves strategically in the broadcasting landscape
– Transform their LinkedIn profiles into powerful career assets
– Develop consistent personal branding across digital platforms

This initiative aligns with NOWIB’s ongoing commitment to professional development and growth opportunities for women in Ghana’s media industry.
