No man will go to hell for practicing polygamy-Prophet Kumchacha

Founder and Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has said that polygamy is not a sin.

Speaking on Happy FM’s midmorning show “Nsem Pii,” Prophet Kumchacha asserted that God does not forbid polygamy, and thus, it will not lead any man to hell.

He emphasized that many men, particularly religious leaders, who publicly condemn polygamy while having only one wife, are often the same individuals who cheat on their spouses with multiple women. According to Kumchacha, these men would be free from such hypocrisy if they openly married multiple women, which he believes would be more pleasing to God.

Prophet Kumchacha criticized the hypocrisy of those who preach against polygamy but secretly engage in extramarital affairs. He pointed out that churches like the Assemblies of God, Christ Apostolic Church, and Church of Pentecost use 1 Timothy 3:14 to advocate for monogamy, but he argued that this was merely advice from Timothy, not a command from God.

He questioned why Christians do not adhere to other biblical teachings, such as Paul’s instruction in 1 Corinthians 14:34 for women to remain silent in church, yet insist on monogamy based on Timothy’s advice. He challenged anyone to find a biblical quotation where God explicitly condemns polygamy.
