The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially invited its members and identifiable groups to submit proposals for amendments to the party’s constitution.

In a memorandum dated April 25, 2025, and signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party urged members who wish to propose constitutional reforms to submit their written proposals by Friday, May 9, 2025.

According to the memo, proposals can be submitted to the Office of the General Secretary at the Party Headquarters in Accra or emailed directly to the Constitutional Amendment Committee at nppconstitutionalamendment@gmail.com.

The party explained that the call for proposals is in line with Article 19(a) of the NPP Constitution and is part of preparations toward an Extraordinary National Delegates Conference scheduled for July 2025.

The conference will primarily consider and adopt various amendment proposals through motions, aiming to revise the party’s constitution to address structural and critical issues facing the NPP.

“The Party looks forward to receiving from its Members proposals for constitutional reforms, the adoption of which will result in the NPP having a Revised Constitution that addresses all the structural and other critical issues confronting the Party,” the statement said.

This initiative signals the NPP’s commitment to internal reforms as the party positions itself for future political challenges and opportunities.
