The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primaries in the Yendi Constituency has taken an unexpected turn, as delegates express their enthusiasm during the voting process at the Yendi Senior High School.

With a confirmed 786 delegates present, the event has been marked by the distribution of branded Smart TV sets and motorbikes.

“This is the best time to be an NPP delegate in the Yendi Constituency,” exclaimed one delegate.

The voting process officially commenced at 0700 hours and is scheduled to conclude at 1400 hours, as delegates cast their ballots to determine the party’s candidates for the 2024 parliamentary elections. A total of 321 candidates are vying for tickets, with 33 of them running unopposed.

Delegates, clad in party colors and waving banners, were seen receiving branded Smart TV sets and motorbikes as part of the elections.

Agents representing the various parliamentary aspirants are actively present at the different voting centers, diligently observing and monitoring the proceedings to ensure a fair and transparent election.

The heavy police presence at the voting centers, strategically positioned to maintain law and order, underscores the commitment to a smooth and peaceful electoral process.
