NPP Primaries: I’m Nii Lantey Vanderpuye’s headache – Bannerman

An aspirant in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ongoing parliamentary primaries in the Ododiodiodio constituency, Nii Lante Bannerman, has said that he will give the incumbent Member of Parliament Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye run for his money in the 2020 general election.

Bannerman believes he is the best candidate to represent the party in the Ododiodiodio constituency in the 2020 general elections.

Speaking to Doctar Cann and Mac-Paradise Okocha on Happy FM’s special coverage of the NPP primaries Nii Lante Bannerman said, “The people of Ododiodiodio won’t make the mistake they made in 2016. It’s obvious that I’m Nii Lantey Vanderpuye’s headache. He knows that himself.”

He added that “When Nii Lantey was asked in an interview on an Accra-based radio station, who among the four contestants will give him a run for his money, he mentioned me. I thought he was going to mention someone else”.

Odododiodio in Greater Accra has four aspirants, Edward Patrick Nii Lante Bannerman [2016 NPP candidate], Reginald Niibi Ayi Bonte, [former MP], Nathaniel Nartey and Michael Nii Yarboi Annan.
The NPP is conducting parliamentary primaries in 104 constituencies.

The NPP has I69 seats out of the total 275 seats in Parliament.

Greater Accra has 13 orphan constituencies.
