The National Council of the New Patriotic Party has decided that Speaker of Parliament Mike Ocquaye should be retained at the job despite earlier calls for a fresh face.
The Council after a crunch meeting Monday also retained Suame lawmaker Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as leader of the NPP caucus in the lawmaking chamber.
Efutu MP Alex Afenyo Markin has been approved as Deputy leader with Nsawaam Adoagyiri MP Annor Dompreh coming in as Chief Whip.
Below are other positions approved by the Council
Deputy Chief Whips – Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Ayawaso West Wuogon MP will be joined by Habib of Tolon constituency.
