An unscrupulous National Sports Authority (NSA) staff members were apprehended for engaging in the unauthorized sale of match tickets during the Asante Kotoko versus Real Tamale United (RTU) game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The illicit ticket sales were discovered, leading to the prompt intervention of stadium security and the subsequent involvement of the Ghana Police Service Unit stationed at the venue.

As a result of the vigilance displayed by supporters, the NSA employees involved were swiftly detained and handed over to the law enforcement authorities.

The identity of the officials are however yet to be disclosed.

In an official statement released by Asante Kotoko’s management on Sunday, they acknowledged the collaborative efforts between the club and vigilant supporters in identifying and addressing the misconduct.

The Round 16 encounter between Asante Kotoko and RTU concluded with a 1-0 victory for the home team at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
