The Bono East Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has shown concern regarding an attack scheme reportedly plotted by a group of New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth supporters against a nursing trainee who questioned the Vice President on delayed nursing allowances.

According to a press release issued by the Bono East Youth Wing, the incident occured at an engagement with the Vice President at the Techiman Community Center, dubbed ‘Bawumia Connect With Bono East Youth’.

The nursing trainee who is identified as Abdul Alim Jariya, after posing a question regarding the delay in the payment of allowances, was immediately marked for ridicule and attack by NPP Youth who were reportedly present at the gathering.

The Bono East Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress, sympathized with Ms. Jariya and called on authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and bring all perpetrators to justice.

The release which was signed by Bono East Deputy Regional Youth Organizer, Obeng Agyenim Boateng did not disclose the present whereabouts of the nursing trainee but stood in full support of all young individuals who refuse to be silent on the infringement of democratic rights that are upheld in Ghana.
