Ebenezer Obeng Dwamena has picked his nomination forms to contest the Twifo Ati Mokwaa Constituency seat on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Obeng Dwamena as the presiding member for the Twifo Ati Mokwaa District in 2017, contributed immensely towards the human and infrastructural needs of the district.

Speaking to the media after picking his nomination indicated that he is humbled by the reception of the party executive and didn’t expect this kind of euphoria to kick start his journey to becoming the next Member of Parliament for Twifo Ati Mokwaa. He urged the supporters to do a clean campaign and work hard to secure a second term for the President.

“I’m very humbled by this gesture and this assured me that my plan that I have for the NPP in this Constituency and for the development of Twifo Ati Mokwaa more particularly will be realized. During this process of looking for a parliamentary candidate for NPP towards the 2020 elections, we must not engage in politics of insults, character assassination or anything that will mar this process. We must all focus on our message and join forces to secure a second term for the President of the Republic H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo regardless of the outcome of the primaries” Mr. Obeng Dwamena indicated.

Profile

Mr. Obeng Dwamena is well known in the NPP fraternity and sponsored the party during the 2012, 2016 elections. He has within 6 months constructed party office for the Constituency. He held the position of Electoral area coordinator for three (3) consecutive term (12 years), polling station Secretary and sponsors party programs of the constituency. He is a grassroots person who relates and resonates more with the electorate and the polling station executives as he has been part of them. Research conducted in the constituency reveals that he is the preferred candidate and will give the NPP victory come 2020.

The young vibrant patriot Obeng Dwamena was born at Ati Mokwaa to Nana Obeng Dwamena and Madam Theresa Antwi all of Ati Mokwa. He completed his basic and secondary school at T1 Ahmadiyya Basic B and TI Ahmadiyya Secondary School, Kumasi Respectively. He holds HND in tourism management from the Cape Coast Polytechnic.

The New Patriotic Party on Saturday, January 15, 2020, opened nominations for parliamentary candidates in constituencies where the party already had sitting MPs. Parliamentary primaries in these constituencies are scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2020, across the country.
