Otumfuo Foundation Promotes Literacy with Reading Challenge

The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation held its annual Community Reading Challenge, aimed at promoting literacy among basic school pupils in the Ashanti Region.

This year’s theme focused on improving English and Twi language proficiency among JHS students.

50 students participated, with 5 finalists showcasing their skills. Freda Mensah Acheampong from Mensah Saahene M/A JHS won, earning sponsorship for her education and a trip to the UK.

Board Chair Nana Prof. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II emphasized parental involvement in instilling discipline, crucial for academic success.

Asante Akyem North MP, Ohene Kwame Frimpong announced initiatives to improve teaching and learning standards in his constituency.
