The Chief Executive Officer for Koora Sports Consult, Emmanuel Tuffuor, has thanked former Ghana’s Ambassador to China, Edward Boateng for his support in the successful hosting of the Otumfuo’s Relay in the Ashanti Region.

The former Ghanaian athlete organized the competition to unearth talents in the Inter schools and colleges competition in the region.

Some of the events that took place were 100m, 400m, 1,500m, long jump and triple jump at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Speaking in an interview on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports Program, Emmanuel Tuffuor acknowledged the efforts, advice and support shown him by the Ambassador in the organization of the event.

“I want to thank the former Ambassador to China, Edward Boateng. I want to thank him for the support and ideas which led to the success of this program, he told Odiasempa Kwame Oware.

Emmanuel Tuffuor indicated that his motive is to revive the Inter Schools and College sports in the region.

“I want to revive the Inter schools and College games and am glad everything has been successful. I have my own sports academy that scouts for athletes. This competition is to also help us get some talents ahead of the Africa Games next year”.

“We cannot sit aloof and wait for the government if we individuals can also do something to help the country”.

He added that there are plans to host the competition in other regions.
