The Assin North Member of Parliament, James Gyakye Quayson has emphasized that there is unity and peace among Ghana’s parliamentarians, despite their political differences.

In an exclusive interview with Happyghana.com on Tuesday October 22 Mr. Gyakye, Quayson dispelled predictions of chaos during the parliamentary sitting, highlighting lawmakers’ commitment to peaceful resolution.

“I heard on several platforms that today’s parliamentary sitting was going to be a war zone, we members of Parliament are very peaceful. Even though we have differences in philosophy and the way to govern a nation, we are not enemies”, he said.

He stressed that MPs prioritize Ghana’s well-being over infighting, recognizing citizens’ existing hardships. “Ghanaians are already suffering, we won’t add to their burdens with internal conflicts,” he said.

He praised Parliament’s Speaker for showing maturity in his announcement and assured the public that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will continue working towards national progress.
