Paul Afoko has declared his intention to contest the National Chairmananship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a press release dated Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from his office, Afoko stated that his decision follows extensive reflection and encouragement from many members, supporters, and stakeholders of the NPP.
Afoko emphasized that his decision comes after careful consideration and in response to calls for renewed leadership rooted in the party’s founding values and democratic ideals.
He highlighted his steadfast commitment to the NPP over the years and expressed belief that the time has come for him to contribute again to rebuilding and strengthening the party.
