The Ghana High Commissioner to India, His Excellency, Mike Oquaye Junior, in a congratulatory message, has formally welcomed Asamoah Gyan to India.

 The Commissioner’s message follows Gyan’s arrival in India to continue his football career with India’s Suger League side NorthEast United FC.

The Commissioner’s message read: “Welcome to India; Ghana National Football Team Icon- Captain General Asamoah Gyan. Ghana is proud of you.”

It added: “We welcome your presence in India (to play in the National Football league), that will further cement Indo-Ghana relations, especially in sports. AKWAABA! From  H.E. Mike Oquaye Jnr. Ghana High Commissioner – India.”
