Awal Suleman, the pitch invader arrested during Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against South Africa has been granted bail and released from custody.

The 25-year old has been in Police custody for two days since his arrest on Thursday 14 November, 2019.

The Central Regional Football Association Chairman Robert Duncan, together some stakeholders, intervened on his behalf and was granted bail on Saturday.

Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Okraku had earlier on disclosed that there were efforts been made to ensure Awal Suleman was granted bail.

“Our brother Awal is currently going through a process to get his bail. The Football Association is represented at the Police station by our hard working Central Football Association chairman, Mr Robert Duncan. Let’s all be patient as we go through this legal process. Lessons well learnt by all parties. At the end, football will win. Thank you. Still.. #BringbackTheLove”,Kurt Okraku mentioned.
