President John Mahama has announced the nomination of Chief Executives for all 33 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Eastern Region.
This decision, made in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), was shared in a statement by Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.
Among the nominees are Philibert Amenorpe Selorm Fumey and Samuel Adongo, who have been selected as Municipal Chief Executives for Nsawam-Adoagyiri and New Juaben North, respectively.
These nominations await approval by at least two-thirds of the members of their respective assemblies.
