Professor Edward Dua Agyeman has officially resigned as Chairman of the Audit Service Board, citing personal reasons in a letter dated May 30, 2025.
His resignation took effect on May 31, 2025.
In his letter to President John Dramani Mahama, Prof. Agyeman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the nation.
Appointed in 2017 by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Prof. Agyeman held the role for eight years.
Before that, he served as Auditor-General of Ghana from April 2001 to May 2010 under former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and John Evans Atta Mills. He also served as Deputy Auditor-General from July 1987 to June 1989.
