Happy FM, Ghana’s Number One Sports Station has opened registration for the 3rd Edition of the Happy FM Corporate Knockout Challenge.

The Corporate Knockout challenge is a seven aside football gala competition between Corporate Organizations that will be held at Lizzy’s Sports Complex on 5th of October. The day long event will have thirty-two (32) teams playing in the preliminary stage of the competition, the top teams will then progress to the knockout stage.

The four winning teams from the knockout stage will then lock horns in the semi-finals stage, to determine the teams playing for the third and fourth positions and the first and second positions.

The Corporate Knockout challenge is aimed at bringing together corporate institutions to network, compete in fun-filled games and also provide a platform for team bonding and staff motivation to the various institutions. Asides football, activities for the day will include other games like ‘draft’, ‘oware’. There will also be lots of food and music to keep spectators entertained throughout the duration of the Challenge.

The winner of the Happy FM Corporate Challenge will win Twenty Thousand (20, 000) Ghana Cedis worth of airtime on Happy FM, a trophy, medals and other souvenirs. The second place team takes home Ten Thousand (10,000) Ghana Cedis worth of airtime on Happy FM, medals and souvenirs from our sponsors.

Mr. Emmanuel Akrumah, Programs Manager for Happy FM shared some insights from the first two editions of the competition.

“Happy FM Corporate Knockout is going to facilitate fun activities and social connections between employees of participating teams and will ultimately create a culture of fun that can help with teamwork. I am encouraging every corporate institution to register and be part of the knockout challenge.”

“The event also gives an excellent opportunity to those who want to be on the side-lines to cheer on their colleagues and showcase their cheerleading and ‘’ Jama’’ prowess as they cheer on their favourite teams to victory’’ he stated.

The registration fee per Corporate team is Five Hundred (500) Ghana Cedis.

It can be recalled that last year Quick SMS beat Askan Company Limited in a 3-1 penalty shootout to emerge winner of the Second Edition and are the current defending champions of the Happy FM Corporate Knockout Challenge at the Lizzy Sports Complex.
