Head coach of Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex, Nurudeen Amadu, has shed light on the remarkable home dominance his team has enjoyed in the current 2023/24 GhanaPremier League campaign.

In an interview on Happy FM, Nurudeen attributed this success to the hard work and commitment displayed by his players on the field.

Under Amadu’s guidance, Samartex has been impressive at their home ground, the Nsenkyire Sports Arena. In their last six outings on home turf, the team secured victories in all matches, netting an impressive 13 goals while conceding only 3.

The Timber Giants continued their winning streak last Sunday, November 26, 2023, with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over RTU at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena. The red-hot striker for Samartex, Baba Hamadu Musah, played a pivotal role in securing the win. Musah opened the scoring just 7 minutes into the game, providing an early lead for the hosts.

After the halftime break, Musah showcased his prowess once again by completing a brace in the 65th minute, doubling Samartex’s advantage. Although Alhassan Makuyeli of RTU managed to pull one back for the visitors in stoppage time, it proved too late to deny Samartex their sixth consecutive home win.

With this victory, Samartex now sits in 3rd position on the league standings with 20 points, only 1 point behind the current leaders, Aduana. They are set for an away game against Bofoakwa Tano in their matchday 14 fixture.
