President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo is in Parliament to deliver the 2020 State of the Nation Address (SONA), the president entering the Chamber, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) staged a walk out singing the Ghana National anthem.

A seemingly unperturbed majority started chanting ‘away’ to their colleagues on the other side and finally took over the seats filling the empty space left behind by the minority.

Both minority and majority came to Parliament clad in black and white respectively possibly a reflection of their response to SONA 2020.

President Akufo-Addo is in to deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament Thursday, in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution.

The annual event is to give the President an opportunity to account for his leadership over the last year and also project the plans of the government for the coming year.

He is expected to address issues on the economy including the progress in the fight against galamsey, corruption and some arrests made so far.
Creative Arts, Education, Agriculture and Health are among sectors he is expected to throw light on.
