David Kwodow Prah Afful, known on social media as Kwame Nkrumah II, has been sentenced to seven months in prison by an Accra Circuit Court after pleading guilty to threatening the President, Members of Parliament, and other officials during a TikTok livestream.
Afful was arrested near Kasoa Market on September 13 after a viral video showed him making violent threats and inciting attacks on government officials, journalists, and civil servants.
He admitted to charges of threat of death and offensive conduct conducive to breach of the peace, and pleaded for forgiveness.
The Ghana Police Service stated, “While it upholds freedom of speech, it will not tolerate statements that incite violence, insecurity, or public disorder.”
