UG: Final year student dies few hours to last paper

A final year student of the University of Ghana, Daniel Anane, has passed away.

He died on Thursday, September 9, 2021, after a short illness.

The Public Administration and Information Studies student, until his demise, was a member of the University of Ghana Parliament House.

He was also a resident of the Commonwealth Hall.

According to some of Daniel’s colleagues, they were to write their final paper, Introduction to Administrative History at 7:30 am before the unfortunate incident.

Tributes have since been pouring in for the final year student who many describe as hardworking

In a statement signed by Deputy Clerk One, Caleb Elorm Kadu, University of Ghana Parliament House said it was “distraught by the news of his death”.

It further expressed condolence to the family of the deceased.

Caleb Elorm Kadu in an interview with UniversNews said The House feels bereft of the loss of Daniel Anane.

“He is a very proactive leader. He is always bringing out cogent ideas and suggestions and he is always active with everything that the House does so he is someone who is very involving and a good team player” he eulogized.

Meanwhile, details of the funeral arrangement are yet to be communicated.
