Ghana’s premier urban radio powerhouse, Y107.9FM, continues to cement its legacy in the entertainment industry, securing an impressive ten (10) nominations at the 2025 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA (GEA-USA).
The station, known for redefining urban youth culture through vibrant music, engaging personalities, and trendsetting content, saw its stellar talent earn well-deserved recognition across key categories.
Dynamic duo Kojo Manuel and Princess AJ, renowned for their unmatched stage energy and charisma, earned nods in the Hypeman/MC of the Year category — a testament to their influence in live entertainment and event culture.
The DJ Act of the Year category saw YFM’s turntable titans dominate the field, with DJ Loft, DJ Kess, DJ Millzy, and DJ SlyKing all receiving nominations Their unique styles and ability to move crowds have made them household names on and off the airwaves.
Celebrated producer Reginald Tetteh, the creative force behind many of YFM’s top-rated shows, earned a nomination for Media Producer of the Year, highlighting the station’s behind-the-scenes excellence.
Under the Digital Pulse Award (Ghana), the YFM website (www.yfmghana.com) also received a nomination in that category.
In one of the most prestigious and competitive categories — Radio Royalty — YFM’s influential voices, NY DJ and Akosua Hanson, were both recognized for their pioneering roles and lasting contributions to Ghanaian media and youth empowerment.

These nominations reinforce YFM’s commitment to delivering quality edutainment that resonates with Ghana’s vibrant youth. The awards aim to showcase Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and elevate its talents on the international stage.
