Yaa Pono has been doing very well for himself in recent times and we’re proud of him and how far he’s come and worked over the years.
The rapper who is currently in the UK for his Europe tour, won the best rapper at the just ended Ghana Music Awards UK 2018. He beat Sarkodie and other tough rappers in the category to emerge winner and we could say it was a well deserved one.
Yaa Pono got interviewed on BBC 1 Xtra on Sunday October 21, 2018, following his win at the awards and his Europe tour. When asked by the host how it was like winning in such a tough category and beating Sarkodie, Yaa Pono replied saying:
“Once we are all nominated, we are winners. It’s just that one has to be recognized to be the first and the rest follows.”
“We wish Yaa Pono well on his win and tour. He should keep soaring higher and break boundaries.
