Scores of Black Stars players and other Ghanaian footballers have taken to social media to wish Andre Ayew well on his £20.5m move from Swansea City to West Ham, which makes him the club’s record signing.
Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan led the congratulatory messaging by expressing his elation at the new challenge for his deputy captain.

Andre’s younger brother, Jordan Ayew, who plays for Championship side Aston Villa also congratulated him for opening a new chapter in his career.

Abdul Baba Rahman offered his unflinching support to Andre and spurred him on. Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Brimah wished Andre all the best and encouraged him to continue with his exploits at West Ham.

Jonathan Mensah was also not left out as he congratulated his deputy skipper. Andre was also his captain when they lifted the World Youth championship in 2009.
