The Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has down played the calls for the reinstatement of the suspended General Secretary of the party; Kwabena Agyepaong.
According Obri Boahen, the party has issues of priority to deal with and not the reinstatement of a person suspended by the National Executive Committee of the party.
He noted that as it stands the party will be faced with Constitutional crisis if the tenure of the current officers elapsed in April next year these are the issues that leadership is concerned with.
He tabled some of the issues of priority bothering the minds of leadership of the party as salaries for the regional chairmen and executives, the construction of a bigger party head office in Accra. among others.
‘Anytime we have the National Executives of the party meeting then the party is found wanting in relations to parking space for  the vehicles driven by members he stressed.
He said these are the issues that are readily bothering the minds of leadership of the party and not the reinstatement of an individual who was suspended by the structures of the party.
He said the unidentified group of persons pushing for that agenda to show their face as the leadership of the party has not received any petition to that effect.
Lawyer Obri Boahen downplayed the calls for the reinstatement of the suspended General Secretary in an interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show on Accra-Happy FM.
The executives of the party should not be bothered with these frivolous issues as the party has issues of priority to deal with in the running of affairs of the party he noted.
