Scores of supporters of the New Patriotic Party have taken to streets in Kumasi to celebrate the announcement of Nana Akufo-Addo as President of Ghana but commercial sex workers in Bantama, Adum and other surrounding areas have reduced their rates drastically so that patrons can spice up their jubilant mood.
According to HappyGhana.com source in the Ashanti Regional capital, the rates have been reduced to as low as GHc 5 so that every interested person can patronize their services which was their way of also celebrating Nana Addo’s victory.
“We have reduced our prices to as low as Ghc 5 so that every can enjoy our services in the spirit of our celebration of Nana Akufo-Addo’s victory. We could have given it for free but you know this is what we also do to survive so we need to earn something small from giving patrons pleasure.” One commercial sex worker is quoted to have said.
Nana Akufo-Addo was declared winner of the 2016 Presidential election after polling 53.85% of the valid votes cast.
