The Ghana Women’s Premier League resumes this weekend after a one-week break with some interesting results across the League centres in the Southern and Northern Zones.

Hasaacas Ladies drew 1-1 with Sea Lions at the Gyandu Park on Saturday.

Black Princesses striker Milot Abena Pokua got the opener for Hasaacas Ladies in the 10th minute of the game. The visitors responded quickly in the 21st minute through Elizabeth Owusu who give her side their first point of the season.
Captain of Hasaacas Ladies, Perpetual Agyekum missed the penalty in the 53rd minute.

Berry Ladies 3-1 Thunder Queens
Coach Mercy Tagoe’s Berry Ladies continued their incredible form in the league beating Thunder Queens 3-1 to win at the Madina AstroTurf.
Thelma Baffour scored the first goal in the 20th minute before Constance Agyemang registered her two goals in the 29th and 48th minute.

Immigration Ladies 0-1 Police Ladies
Immigration Ladies welcomed rivals Police Ladies FC at McDan La Park hoping to register their victory of the season. The much-talked-about service derby did not quite live up to expectation after the 90th minute.
Captain of Police Ladies FC, Josephine Boateng scored the only goal for her in the 52nd minute through a free-kick.

Lady Strikers 2-0 Soccer Intellectuals
Black Princesses midfielder, Suzzy Dede Teye got her 4th goal of the season in the 43rd minute to put her side ahead in the 81st minute, Black Queens’ Gladys Amfobea made it 2-0 for LadyStrikers to seal the game.
Supreme Ladies 2-3 Kumasi Sports Academy -2
Supreme Ladies suffered a 2-3 defeat at their own backyard in the hands of Regional rivals, Kumasi Sports Academy at the Okese Park. A brace from Sandra Owusu Ansah in the 25th and 94th minutes was not enough to save her side. Five minutes into the game, Favor Fosuaa Anane scored the first goal before doubling the lead for Kumasi Sports Academy in the 21st minute. Joyce Larbi scored the winning goal for her side in the 47th minute.
Fabulous Ladies 2-2 Northern Ladies
Fabulous Ladies failed the win yet another this weekend when they drew 2-2 with Northern Ladies at the Wesco Park. Fabulous Ladies took the lead through Princess Owusu in the 32nd minute.
Northern Ladies got the equalizer in the 54th courtesy Fakiha Alhassan.
Mavis Anima in the 54th minute scored the second goal for Fabulous Ladies. Rahama Jafara levelled up the scoreline in the 70th to secure a vital away point for Northern Ladies.

PearlPia Ladies 1-1 Ashtown Ladies
Ashtown Ladies travelled to Tamale to face PearlPia Ladies at the Utrecht Park. Captain of PearlPia Ladies gave her side the lead in the 45th minute just before the first half whistle but they failed to defend the scoreline. Ashtown Ladies’ Comfort Baah Nuako equalized for her team in the 67th minute.
Prisons Ladies 0-1 Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
Undoubtedly the biggest game of the week was between Prisons Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Sunyani Coronation Park. After 90 minutes of beautiful football and a wonderful display of skills, Ampem Darkoa Ladies reigned supreme courtesy of striker, Tracy Twum who scored the only goal of the encounter in the 58th minute.
