The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama has made a startling accusation that the controversial Agyapadie document is a master plan devised by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government to capture the state.

According to Mahama, the document outlines a deliberate scheme by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to illicitly acquire state assets, sparking concerns about the government’s intentions and potential corruption.

Despite President Akufo-Addo’s attempts to discredit the Agyapadie document as a false narrative aimed at tarnishing his reputation, Mahama remains steadfast in his belief that the document is authentic. The NDC flagbearer is adamant that the document’s contents are not only true but also being executed, revealing a deliberate state capture agenda by the ruling government.

During a traditional gathering with chiefs and queen mothers at the Bawku Naba’s Palace in the Upper East Region on Saturday August 3 as part of his campaign tour, John Mahama emphasized the need for the current government to be held accountable for their actions. Addressing the esteemed gathering, Mahama stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in governance.Mahama expressed deep concern that Ghanaians must demand accountability from the current government for the unprecedented hardship and crisis they have inflicted upon the nation.

He criticized the government’s alleged state capture, citing the systemic acquisition of state properties, government lands, and the accumulation of wealth by those in power over the past eight years. He posed a rhetorical question, wondering if the person who allegedly fabricated the document possesses the ability to read minds.

He argued that the document’s accuracy in predicting the actions of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his family is uncanny, suggesting that the author would need to be a skilled and insightful writer. Mahama emphasized that the fact that everything outlined in the document has come to pass implies that the implementation of these plans cannot be fabricated, further fueling his skepticism about the document’s origins.
