New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), has cautioned Ghanaians against voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December elections, warning that it would lead to a repeat of the economic woes the country suffered during their previous tenure.

Addressing delegations in Asante Akyem Central, Asante Akyem South, and Bosome Freho on Thursday, August 15, as part of his Asante Regional tour, NAPO highlighted the NDC’s past economic mismanagement, citing examples such as the cancellation of teacher trainee allowances, the power crisis (dumsor), and other economic challenges.

NAPO criticized former President Mahama’s response to these criticisms, quoting his infamous “dead goat” comment. NAPO questioned a “dead goat” could possibly lead the country again, advising Ghanaians to let Mahama rest and not vote for him, as a “dead goat” cannot rise from the dead.

NAPO urged Ghanaians to support the NPP in the December elections, promising a continuation of the party’s good governance and economic progress.
