During this year’s Tidal Rave Beach Festival, Absa Bank Ghana LTD offered patrons an unforgettable blend of entertainment and entrepreneurial opportunities. The event, which drew thousands of enthusiastic attendees to one of Africa’s most popular beach festivals, showcased Absa’s commitment to youth empowerment and entrepreneurship.

A key feature at this year’s Tidal Rave was the Absa Ignition Market, a cashless platform that allowed young business owners to sell their products and services to over 20,000 attendees. This innovative approach enabled attendees to access goods and services without the need for physical cash.

This partnership between Absa and Tidal Rave Festival, now in its second year, has proven to be a powerful platform for budding entrepreneurs. Last year’s inaugural event supported around 70 young vendors, boosting their market visibility by allowing them to engage directly with a large audience.

Building on this success, this year’s festival repeated the Ignition Market and also introduced the “Fireside Chat” on entrepreneurship, sponsored by Absa Bank. This new initiative allowed successful entrepreneurs to share their stories and inspire their peers.

Speaking on the partnership, Charles Addo, Director of Retail Banking at Absa Bank, said, “Absa is passionate about creating opportunities for the youth to realise their entrepreneurial dreams. Our collateral-free SME Loan@10% is one example. Our collaboration with Tidal Rave reflects this commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs.”

This year’s Tidal Rave Beach Festival was exciting, with a stellar line-up of Ghana’s finest musical talents. E.L. kicked off the night with an electrifying performance, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. The dynamic duo R2Bees followed, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement. Edem, Kwesi Arthur, Pappy Kojo, and KiDi, among others, kept the momentum going with their captivating sets.

The night reached its pinnacle as Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie took the stage, delivering show-stopping performances that excited the audience.
