The Member of Parliament for Achiase constituency, Kofi Ahenkora Marfo, has advised newly elected MPs to familiarize themselves with the laws and standing orders of Parliament to avoid unnecessary challenges in their roles.
Speaking on Epa Ho A Daben, a political program on Happy 98.9 FM with Kwadwo Sefah Danquah, he emphasized that Parliament has specific guidelines that every legislator must understand to be effective in their duties.
He acknowledged that new MPs often struggle to contribute meaningfully due to lack of experience but noted that learning from senior colleagues and adhering to parliamentary norms would help them integrate smoothly.
Mr. Marfo stressed that mastering parliamentary procedures would enable new MPs to conduct themselves appropriately and fulfil their legislative responsibilities without going against the established standards of Parliament.
