President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central, replacing Victoria Adu, whose appointment was recently revoked.
According to a letter dated May 3 and signed by Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, the President’s Representative to the Local Government Ministry, the Regional Minister will oversee the Municipal Assembly until Agyeiwaa’s confirmation.
The Regional Minister has been directed to work with the Regional Electoral Commission to facilitate the confirmation process.
