Lawyer Maurice Apaw says the Asante Kotoko fan involved in the shooting incident at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium must be compensated with a hefty amount after losing his eye.

The fan identified as Kweku Oppong was shot on Sunday after the game.

In an interview on Wamputu Sports on Happy FM, Maurice Ampaw said, “He must be compensated with a huge amount after this incident. He must be given money which can equal the sight he has lost”.

“They must speed up things for him to get his compensation from the Ghana Police Service and the government”, he concluded.

He was sent to the hospital and operated upon where four bullets were taken out of his head after surgery.

Happy Sports got in touch with the wife Theresa Oppong, who confirmed to Happy Sports that his husband’s condition is stable, but unfortunately has lost his left eye after the surgery.
