The Ashanti Regional office of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) has conducted a life-saving emergency care training session for fitness trainers, alternative medical practitioners, and physiotherapists as part of a three-day capacity-building programme organized by Pakike Integrated Physical Sports Therapy and Fitness Center at Anwomaso High Tension.
The training, held on July 3, 2026, was facilitated by SAEMT Mansurat Abdul Ganiyu and focused on equipping participants with essential emergency response skills.
Topics covered included Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control, and choking management.
Participants received both theoretical instruction and practical demonstrations, enabling them to develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to recognize and respond effectively to life-threatening emergencies.
They were also trained to administer high-quality CPR, control severe bleeding, and manage choking incidents before the arrival of emergency medical services.
According to the National Ambulance Service, the initiative forms part of its ongoing public education campaign aimed at promoting emergency care awareness and empowering individuals and institutions with critical life-saving skills.
The Service expressed appreciation to Pakike Integrated Physical Sports Therapy and Fitness Center for the invitation to support the programme, reaffirming its commitment to collaborating with organizations to strengthen emergency preparedness and improve public safety across the country.
