The Acting Director of International Relations of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Emmanuel Danso Attefah has mince no words to describe the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumanu Bagbin as a better candidate for the 2020 flagbearership slot of the main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) than the former President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr Atteffah, who was speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’, claimed that the former president, John Dramani Mahama, is damaged commodity that cannot match the likes Prof. Joshua Alabi and Sylvester Mensah among others who are battling for the flagbearership position for the 2020 presidential elections.
He said the former president cannot be trusted with the leadership of the party after he had damaged his reputation when he was in power.
He added that Mahama has no principles to lead the party after making people closer to him to do things on the blind side of the state.
“To me Bagbin is a better candidate than the candidature of the former president because he has damaged his reputation with his family and friends government’ he stated .
“There is no way Mahama can beat Bagbin because the reputation of the former president is not the best for the main opposition party, he explained.
