Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has revealed that Ghana is soon to initiate a labour transfer deal with Spain as bilateral cooperations between the two countries go deeper.
The Minister in a social media update, shared minutes of the diplomatic meeting held with Spanish Ambassador to Ghana H.E Angel Lossada.
Deliberations between Ablakwa and the Spanish official settled on issues like maritime security, potential partnership opportunities with Ghana’s navy, trade, agriculture and scholarships.
A major deal expected to emerge is the labour mobility deal which under formal arrangement between Ghana and Spain will allow eligible individuals to legally move across borders to take up employment, for a duration set up within the agreement.
