The Ghana Golf Association (GGA) has presented a proposal to authorities to consider opening all golf courses in the country according to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

The Government has imposed a ban on social gatherings including all sporting activities due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The move by the GGA to Government to consider opening all golf courses is backed by measures to ensure safety of golfers, which is under consideration by Government, Happy Sports understands.

Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah has told other sporting disciplines to emulate the steps taken by the GGA.

“The Ghana Golf Association has brought a presentation for us to consider opening the golf course. They have listed out some measures to ensure the golf clubs are opened and how they will maintain the protocols, so I will also entreat the other associations to also do same”.
