The New Patriotic Party (NPP)-USA branch Chairperson, Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, has emphasized that Ghana’s economic challenges and hardships could have been worse if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and John Dramani Mahama had remained in office.

She acknowledged that many countries, including Ghana, are facing economic difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, she argued that the Nana Akufo-Addo-led government has done its best to manage the situation. While she admitted that Ghanaians are experiencing hardships, she believes it would have been even more severe under John Mahama’s leadership.

Obaa Yaa Frimpong also noted that although the country is struggling due to the impact of COVID-19, the government has consistently paid salaries to public sector workers. She expressed optimism that the situation is gradually improving, as the government has implemented several plans to stabilize the economy.

She encouraged Ghanaians to remain hopeful in the NPP, emphasizing that the best is yet to come. Obaa Yaa Frimpong urged voters to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s presidential candidate, in the upcoming December elections, expressing confidence that he will lead Ghana toward a brighter future.
