GPL: Asante Kotoko beat Dwarfs 2-0

Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways after picking their first win in two games against Ebusua Dwarfs in match day five fixture of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko had to play the game behind closed doors played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.due to the ban imposed on the team by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Songne Yacouba missed a penalty in the first half to deny his side the first goal of the game.

Dwarfs were solid at the back as they prevented the Porcupine Warriors from getting a goal.

The first half ended in a draw with both sides failing to score.

Asante Kotoko teenage sensation Matthew Cudjoe got the first goal of the game in the 80th minute to put his side infront.

Richard Arthur scored the second goal of the game after feeding on a rebound from Naby Keita’s shot to secure the win for his side.

Kotoko have accrued nine points after match day five.

The Porcupine Warriors will face off with arch-rivals Hearts of Oak on match day six at the Accra Sports Stadium.
