The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) , Johnson Aseidu Nketia has revealed of contesting as President of Ghana
He said he’s qualified for the position to lead the NDC when given the opportunity in elections 2020.

He mentioned how he rose through the ranks from the grassroots through to his current position as the NDC scribe.

“I am ready to lead the NDC in the 2020 general elections. Who will not be happy when called upon to be the President of Ghana?,” he said. Speaking to KSM on the ‘Bo Me Nkomo’ show, Asiedu Nketia recalled some of his achievements since entering into politics in 1978.

He said, he began as a Towns Development Committee Secretary doubling as a teacher and later joined the PNDC revolution from 1978-1979 and became a Bank Manager and got the chance to be elected as an assembly member when the district assembly elections started.

“My colleagues President Mahama, Alban Bagbin and Doe Adjaho approached to convince me to take up the General Secretary role of the party in order for the party to win the next election. Therefore I had to abandon all my plans and work for the party till now. This is my twelve year as the General-Secretary of the NDC,” he added.
