The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohamed-Mubarak, is expected to brief the nation at 2 p.m. today, November 4 on the findings of investigations into the killings and violent incidents that occurred during the 2020 and 2024 general elections.
The announcement was made in a Facebook post by the Minister in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who disclosed that President John Dramani Mahama had earlier this year directed the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to investigate the incidents.
According to the post, the investigation was ordered in January 2025 to uncover the circumstances surrounding the violence and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
The upcoming briefing is expected to detail the outcome of the investigations, actions taken against perpetrators, and measures to prevent future election-related violence.
