KIC Fellow Wins National Best Youth Farmer Award

Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Robben Asare, a KIC Fellow (2019) who has emerged as the National Best Youth Farmer Award winner at the 2025 National Farmers’ Day Celebration

After participating in the KIC program in 2019, the Fellow was inspired by the training, mentorship, and business development support received through KIC. This foundation ignited his journey into large-scale plantation farming, with key focus on rice, mango, and other crop production.

Through consistent mentorship, direction, and the practical agribusiness training model of KIC, he has transformed his vision into a thriving agricultural enterprise. His dedication to sustainable farming practices has also earned him the Best Agroforestry Award in 2019, further cementing his place as a leading young agripreneur in Ghana.

This achievement is a clear demonstration of KIC’s long-term impact in equipping young people with the right skills, knowledge, and support systems to succeed in agriculture. It reflects how KIC’s fellowship and youth-centered programs empower young innovators to move from learning to large-scale production and national recognition.

KIC congratulates this outstanding Fellow for making the nation proud and continues to celebrate all young people who are redefining agriculture through innovation, resilience, and purpose.

About YFBA

The KIC Young Farmer Business Academy (YFBA) is a 4 –7-month program that identifies young people who are interested in setting up an agribusiness in agricultural production. The program provides them with a system of training, workshops, and hands-on experience to set up their own farms. The program uses practical sessions, field demonstrations, coaching and mentorship as a tool to encourage participants to take a fresh look at agri- production and its adjoining sectors to identify areas with potential business opportunities.

The YFBA Program is an initiative of Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and Kosmos Energy.
