Chairman Wontumi’s legal team has successfully met the GH₵50 million bail conditions, securing two justified sureties with significant support from Bryan Acheampong.

However, a fresh legal application has stalled the process, preventing his release.

Lead counsel Andy Appiah-Kubi confirmed that although EOCO officers were prepared to inspect the listed properties, the new court matter legally restrains them from proceeding.

He expressed optimism that the issue could be resolved by Monday, June 2, clearing the way for Wontumi’s release.

Meanwhile, concerns over Wontumi’s health were addressed, with his legal team assuring that he is receiving medical care despite earlier speculation about his condition.
