President John Mahama is set to unveil a strict Code of Conduct aimed at regulating the activities of government appointees and reinforcing transparency and accountability.

This move, announced by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister in charge of Government Communications, marks a significant milestone in his 120-day Social Contract.

President Mahama’s 120- day social contract is a bold governance plan designed to usher in reforms across various sectors.

The Code of Conduct, which will be formally introduced from Monday May 5, 2025, is expected to establish clear ethical guidelines for officials, addressing concerns about governance integrity and public trust.

The new framework, according to Kwakye Ofosu promises to have stringent measures to curb corruption, ensure due process, and promote service delivery efficiency.

Since launching his Social Contract, President Mahama has prioritized economic recovery, job creation, and social interventions, including tax relief measures and a 24-hour economy policy aimed at boosting productivity.

His administration has also championed free tertiary education for persons with disabilities.

The unveiling event is expected to draw stakeholders from various sectors, including civil society organizations, legal experts, and government officials, as the nation anticipates the rollout of a more disciplined and transparent administration.
