Medeama SC, the reigning champions of Ghana, are gearing up for a challenging journey in the CAF Champions League group stage. In a recent draw, they found themselves placed in Group D alongside formidable opponents, including Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly, Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, and Tanzania’s Young Africans.

Medeama SC’s road to the group stage was marked by determination and skill, as they triumphed over Guinean giants Horoya AC in the final phase of the preliminary round. This achievement is historic for the club, as it marks their debut appearance in the group stage of the CAF Champions League, making them the second Ghanaian club to reach this stage since Berekum Chelsea in 2012.

Here’s the full draw for the CAF Champions League group stage:

Group A:

  • Mamelodi Sundowns 🇿🇦
  • Pyramids FC 🇪🇬
  • TP Mazembe 🇨🇩
  • FC Nouadhibou 🇲🇷

Group B:
