National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw has clarified that the proposed National Women’s Development Bank will be accessible to everyone, not just NDC members.
She stated that loan applicants will not need to provide a party card.
Instead, she said the focus will be on how the funds will be used, with adherence to relevant regulations.
Dr. Bissiw emphasized that fairness and transparency will be prioritized, including investigating the intended use of the funds and conducting follow-ups with recipients.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has promised to establish a Women’s Development Bank if elected into power.
This bank they say aims to support Ghanaian women by providing interest-free or low-interest loans to enhance their businesses and trade.
